There are two parts to your vasectomy appointment on the same day - an initial consultation and the surgical procedure.
- Initial Consultation: This is to check that a scalpel free vasectomy at GippSnip is the right procedure for you. During this consultation a doctor may examine your groin to check that your ‘bits’ (anatomy) are suitable for the scalpel free technique. (We don’t want any surprises when we are operating!)
- Surgical Procedure: If all goes as expected, your procedure is scheduled a short time later on the same day. Don't worry, you will be in good hands.
You will be at the clinic for around 90 minutes.
Appointments are available on Saturdays (Officer) and Fridays (Warragul) - you have the weekend to put your feet up and recover).
Fees
The vasectomy procedure fee is $750 ($800 for procedures at Officer) (made up of a $150 deposit plus balance of $600 (Warragul) or $650 (Office) payable on day of your vasectomy (Warragul) or the day prior (Officer). Remember, fees are paid before your procedure, no payment = no snip.
Medicare rebate is $222.65 (as of 11 September 2024 - subject to change)
Private Insurance: Please check with your private health insurance provider to see if you are eligible for an additional rebate. We will provide an invoice for your claim.
Booking Deposit and Cancellations (Please read carefully)
Our reception staff will contact you to arrange a $150 deposit. Please note the following carefully: If you cancel or reschedule your booking within 72 hours, your $150 deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee. To rebook, another $50 deposit will be required. It is extremely difficult to fill vasectomy appointments at late notice and by 72 hours out a large amount of work has already gone into your appointment (rostering staff, preparing rooms, communication via HotDoc, pre-vasectomy form review, phone contact, etc.). If you experience genuine circumstances for your cancellation, please contact us to discuss.
Please be advised that GippSnip appointments can only be cancelled by the person who is booked in for the appointment/procedure.
As we are a small family-owned and operated business, there may be times when we are unable to provide the service due to sickness or other unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to reduced any possible disruption to the service and will communicate any required changes/cancellations/modifications as soon as possible.
